Terms and Conditions

  • Participation in Tronbots is designed to be creative and enjoyable for all. Building combat robots carries some inherent risk. Tronbots and it's staff will work to minimise, mitigate, and communicate these risks, however it remains the responsibility of the participant to fully observe and understand the risks before participating in the sessions and using the provided tools, equipment, parts, and materials. Mistakes happen and humans don't always remember everything, however for the safety of all involved, membership may be terminated should safe practices be continuously ignored.

  • Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a sensible and considered manner for the safety and enjoyment of all. Participant should have covered footwear, hair tied back, and loose clothing removed. Safety glasses are provided and should be worn at all times when debris may be created.

  • In the case of an emergency, where neither the parent/guardian, nor the emergency contact can be reached, the Tronbots tutor will respond in may call the appropriate emergency service and apply first aid as deemed suitable.

  • Participation in Tronbots entitles the participant to extensive use of the equipment and materials, and exclusive use of a loan kitset for the duration of their membership. Speak to Shannan or visit tronbots.co.nz/botshop to purchase parts or whole kits.

  • Unless otherwise discussed, minors are free to leave Tronbots without the need to be signed out by a guardian. A suitable meeting place should be discussed beforehand should a guardian be unable to collect.

  • In the event of a pandemic-related lockdown or isolation, you will be offered the opportunity to collect additional materials to work on at home. Should the program become untenable, a credit will be offered for the following intake.
